Information

Here are some benefits of registering your dog with us, including the inclusion of DNA testing:

  • Breed Identification:

    • Accuracy: DNA tests provide a more accurate breed assessment than visual identification alone. This can be particularly helpful with mixed-breed dogs.
    • Understanding: Knowing your dog's breed composition can help you understand their potential size, temperament, and health risks.
  • Health Insights:

    • Proactive Care: DNA testing can identify genetic predispositions to certain health conditions. This allows you to work with your veterinarian to implement proactive measures and monitor your dog closely.
    • Early Intervention: Early detection of potential health issues can lead to earlier intervention and potentially better outcomes.
  • Personalized Care:

    • Tailored Approach: Understanding your dog's breed and genetic makeup allows for more personalized care, including diet, exercise, and training recommendations.
  • Peace of Mind:

    • Reassurance: Knowing your dog's health status can provide you with greater peace of mind and allow you to enjoy a longer and healthier life with your furry companion.
  • Community Benefits:

    • Research Contributions: DNA data can be used for valuable research purposes, contributing to a better understanding of canine health and genetics.

Disclaimer:

  • The accuracy of DNA tests can vary depending on the specific test and the company providing it.
  • DNA testing results should be interpreted in conjunction with veterinary advice.

We encourage you to discuss the benefits and potential limitations of DNA testing with your veterinarian to determine if it is the right choice for your dog.

Please note: This is a general overview. Specific benefits and services may vary depending on your location and the registration program offered.

Registration includes DNA testing for every animal.  This will be included in the cost of your membership.  Once paid, we will send the DNA test to you for you to collect the sample and mail to the lab.  Once completed, you will receive the results.  We recommend that your vet help you interpret the results.
