WORKING DOGS & PUPPIES FOR SALE
Lancashire Heeler DAM/Ghost Heeler (cattle dog) Sire
Understanding the Breeds
- Lancashire Heeler: This is a small but sturdy herding breed from England. They are known for their courage, intelligence, and loyalty. They have a distinctive black and tan coat.
- Australian Cattle Dog (including "Ghost Heelers"): This breed was developed in Australia for herding cattle. They are energetic, intelligent, and fiercely loyal. "Ghost Heeler" isn't an official breed name, but it's often used to describe Australian Cattle Dogs with a specific coat pattern:
- "Ghost" markings: These dogs have very light or white markings, sometimes giving them a "ghostly" appearance. This can include white patches on the face, chest, and legs, in contrast to their blue or red mottled coat.
What to Expect in a Mixed Puppy
A puppy with a Lancashire Heeler and an Australian Cattle Dog (including a "Ghost Heeler" type) mix could inherit traits from both breeds:
- Size: Likely a small to medium-sized dog, potentially larger than a Lancashire Heeler but smaller than a typical Australian Cattle Dog.
- Coat: The coat could be short and dense like both parent breeds. The coloring could be a mix of black and tan from the Lancashire Heeler, and blue or red mottled with possible "ghost" markings from the Cattle Dog.
- Temperament: Expect a highly intelligent and energetic dog. Both breeds are known for their herding instincts, so the puppy may have a strong drive to herd or chase. They will likely be loyal and devoted to their family but may be wary of strangers.
- Exercise Needs: This mix would need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation to stay

At six weeks old this beautiful puppy holds true to the Blue Heeler coloring and build. One of our biggest puppies in the litter of five, Shoshonee is both adventurous and intelligent. With the sire and dam showing exceptional herding skills with multiple animals, we hope to improve on those instincts with this cross. We will start her with basic commands at 8 weeks and livestock at 12 weeks. The price will increase with training.

Female Lancashire Heeler/Ghost Heeler cross
This mother of this little heeler has the strongest herding drive I have ever seen. Dam is a Lancashire Heeler and Sire is a Ghost heeler. This puppy is six weeks old whelped on 11/13/24 and is active and healthy. We are preparing to start Lucy's exposure to basic commands at eight weeks and livestock at 12 weeks and look forward to how they will do. Lucy follows the typical red heeler coloring.
Introducing Shadow. At six weeks old she is exploring her new world and showing some spunk. She is the smallest puppy in the litter, but this does not deter her. She has the legs and coloring of a Lancashire Heeler and shows some promise as she matures. Will start learning basic commands at eight weeks and with livestock at 12 weeks.
