US$5.75

Garlic is a pungent-flavored vegetable in the Allium genus, which also includes onions, shallots, and leeks. It is native to Central Asia and has been cultivated for thousands of years. Garlic is a staple in many cuisines around the world and is used for its flavor, aroma, and health benefits.

Planting

Garlic is typically planted in the fall, about two weeks before the first frost. Garlic cloves are planted about 2 inches deep and 4-6 inches apart. Garlic can also be grown from seed, but it is more difficult to do and takes longer to mature.

Growing

Garlic is a relatively easy crop to grow. It prefers full sun but can tolerate partial shade. It is important to water garlic regularly, especially during dry periods. Garlic is harvested in the late spring or early summer after the leaves have turned brown.
